Responsibilities

- Gather patient, insurance and clinical information for prior authorisation requests
- Submit prior authorisations through payer portals, phone or fax
- Coordinate prescription refill requests and route to providers
- Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage messages and telephone encounters in eClinicalWorks
- Support straightforward claims resubmissions and basic appeals

Requirements

- At least 1 year as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar healthcare support role
- Experience with a US-based medical practice
- Experience with prior authorisations and prescription refills
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Reliable internet and secure home workspace
