Job Description

If you are searching for jobs in norway for foreigners, Six Robotics in Oslo is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its new Production Suite team. The company builds intelligent software that gives unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) the ability to collaborate, adapt on the fly and execute missions, and its Oslo base brings together more than 70 experts in defence, software and AI. This English-listed, full-time role focuses on the software that takes new drone hardware from production into operations, with an emphasis on packaging, deployment and test automation.

Responsibilities

- Build the Production Suite software that transitions new drone hardware onto the autonomy stack.
- Focus on packaging, deployment and test automation for production operators.
- Create a usable, dependable workflow for production-site operators β€” pressing next, red or green, with no hidden steps.
- Ensure factory acceptance tests share a foundation with engineering test suites.
- Work across the stack: Linux command line, Python, Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests, SSH sessions and YAML configuration.
- Work closely with Operations and test automation teams to keep many moving parts working cleanly together.

Requirements

- Several years of experience as a software engineer, ideally at a hardware company.
- Broad, practical senior-level engineering skills across the stack.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience with test automation and production-grade deployment tooling.
- Ability to design operator experiences reliable enough for non-engineers.
- Comfort working across software packaging, edge devices and deployment pipelines.
- English working proficiency (listed on an English-language Norway job board).

Benefits

- Join a new team building the Production Suite product from the ground up.
- Work with a 70+ expert team across defence, software and AI in Oslo.
- Advanced hardware and software: a modern tech stack on real UAV missions.
- English-speaking working environment in Oslo's tech scene.
